Stateline Trucking School is owned and operated by Great Northwest Transport. Our instructor, Francisco Salinas, has over 27 years of experience operating tractor-trailers and 14 years of CDL teaching experience, seven of which were as a 3rd party CDL tester for the State of Washington.
Stateline Trucking School is a registered private vocational school under Washington State laws Chapter 28C.10 RCW. We are also an approved CDL training school with the Washington State Department of Licensing.
Stateline's CDL training program is designed to give students with little or no experience the necessary skills to obtain a commercial drivers license and to find employment as truck drivers. In addition to producing graduates who are qualified for employment, we also strive to train students in a way that will make our highways safer for all of us.
Our CDL Class A program includes a total of 160 hours of training with class sizes of no more than 3 students. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, each student will receive a certificate of completion and a graded transcript.
As an approved CDL training school by the State of Washington, our training complies with the requirements outlined by the State:
|Class A||160 total hours, including at least:
|Class B||48 total hours, including at least:
The textbook for classroom instruction is the Washington State Commercial Drivers Guide.
Topics covered include:
Road Driving and Range Observation time are performed after the first week of classroom instruction. After a total of 4 weeks of training, students will take the DOT Skills test which includes vehicle inspection, basic controls (backing), and a road test.
Stateline Trucking School helps its graduates find jobs. We are owned and operated by a trucking company and we are connected to a network of trucking companies, both local and long haul. We can assist you with applying to employers even before you start training. Employers often send letters of intent to hire contingent upon a student's completion of training and a review the students driving record, work history, and criminal background. If a student meets the employer's requirements, a job offer can be received prior to graduation.
